The Mental Healthline offers support and information to people experiencing mental health problems such as depression and anxiety. It’s also available to people who look after a friend or relative with a mental health problem.
If you are concerned about your own mental health, or that of a friend or relative, we can help. We are not a counselling service but we will listen to your issues. We can tell you how to access NHS mental health services and point you towards other organisations that may also be able to help. If you’re in distress we can suggest alternative ways for you to cope.
We can also send you information about mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, psychosis, bipolar disorder and compulsive disorders. Your call is completely confidential but we do keep secure electronic records of all calls. Calls are limited to 20 minutes to ensure good access to the helpline.
